There is still just under a week until the Seattle Sounders kick off against Toronto FC in MLS Cup, but as with any final, there is a bit of pomp and circumstance leading up to the game.

We’ve got some key events released by the league as MLS prepares to descend upon Seattle for the game. The important ones are listed below:

Tuesday 11/5: Official Philip F. Anschutz Trophy Arrival into Seattle at Coleman Ferry Dock, followed by a trip to the Space Needle.

Thursday 11/7: Seattle Sounders FC Team Press Conference/Toronto FC Team Press Conference.

  • Sounders players include: Jordan Morris, Raúl Ruidíaz, Nicolas Lodeiro, Stefan Frei, Cristian Roldan, Roman Torres (subject to change)
  • Toronto FC players include: Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Alejandro Pozuelo, Jonathan Osorio, Omar Gonzalez, Richie Larrea, Nick DeLeon (subject to change)

Friday 11/8: MLS State of the League Address with Commissioner Don Garber.

Saturday 11/9: Press Conference: Sounders FC Head Coach Brian Schmetzer/Toronto FC Head Coach Greg Vanney. Training at CenturyLink Field.

Most people will be interested in Friday’s proceedings, as Don Garber gives his State of the League address. These are typically fairly newsworthy, and given all of the things going on around the league, this one should be no different. From expansion to litigation, there will something for everyone to ask the Commissioner about.
