I’m on a plane! For the next week, I’ll be on the East coast, doing all of the soccer things you can imagine. I’m very excited to get back on the road and cover some interesting soccer games and stories.

Itinerary (for those who may be interested in dropping me a line and trying to meet up)

Monday: The Big Apple! Well, I’ll be staying in New Jersey (ballin’ on a budget, ‘natch) with a friend, but I’m spending much of my time in New York. Going to stop by MLSHQ on Tuesday and hoping to record a podcast and an interview or two, followed by some fun dinner plans.

Wednesday, the Seattle Sounders are paying a visit to Yankee Stadium to take on NYCFC. I’ll be on location to provide coverage for Sounder at Heart. I’m definitely looking forward to checking out the stadium, which is frequently the subject of…negative reviews. Nothing like checking it out for yourself.

Thursday is July 4, and I’m going to assume absolutely nobody will be working. Although, there are a couple of MLS games. I plan to keep tabs on them while I relax by a lake and grill delicious seafood and the like.

Friday, I’ll be taking off for Columbus! Yes, by happy coincidence, the Sounders will complete the second part of their road trip by paying a visit to Mapfre Stadium to take on the Crew. I was last out in Columbus in September 2018 to cover the Save the Crew lawsuit. Very much anticipating getting back out there. I’ll be staying in the German Village at the German Village B&B once again, which was fantastic (why change what works). Great location, right outside downtown.

There is a tentative plan for a Happy Hour podcast Friday afternoon at Endeavor Brewing, but it’s not *quite* confirmed. But for those of you in the Columbus area, keep an eye out for more news. I may have a fun guest or two for the podcast too.

Aside from that, I’ll be reporting from Sounders practice hopefully (flight dependent), and from the game on Saturday definitely for Sounder at Heart.
